That's the Mara River separating Kenya and Tanzania. The wildebeeste herd wants to cross to the south but they are well aware there are crocs in the water.

This huge bull elephant came down the path right behind me but I didn't notice him. Luckily, one of the camp staff pushed me out of the way. The elephant took his own sweet time leaving. Isn't he gorgeous?

Had to get up at 3 in the morning to take a hot air balloon over the Serengeti. Well worth it. Saw lots of shiny eyes in the bush as we drove to the departure point.
